Increase connection, well-being, fulfilment and opportunities for creativity for residents through pottery, woodwork or craft.
Lead or support an engaging, mixed-ability pottery/woodwork or craft session with residents. Share and demonstrate pottery/woodwork/craft skills, techniques and ideas with the group. Keep the room clean and tidy and store all materials and equipment safely. Operate a small kiln and mix and apply glazes. Use woodwork tools accordingly and be able to thread a needle and set up a sewing machine. Flexible days and times (we ask for a commitment of 2 hours each week).

We don’t want finances to be a barrier to contribution. Reasonable out-of-pocket expenses, such as travel from your home to your volunteering location, will be reimbursed. This role is subject to enhanced DBS Check, which will be carried out by St Monica Trust. We are committed to valuing equality and diversity in every aspect of St Monica Trust life.
Volunteers will NOT be expected to undertake any personal care tasks; have any involvement in medication; conduct manual handling tasks without prior training and authorisation.
