To assist our catering team at our onsite café to deliver a friendly and welcoming environment to our residents and guests. Offer friendly and sociable interactions to residents and guests whilst undertaking tasks identified by the café manager. To support the catering team in practical tasks such as taking orders, serving food/drink to residents seated in the café. Flexible days and times (we ask for a commitment of 2 hours each week).

- Friendly and sociable nature and be able to interact with older people at an appropriate level.
- An understanding of the varying levels of capabilities of older people.
- Physically able to deliver food/drink to tables, laying tables and help with clearing tables.
We don’t want finances to be a barrier to contribution. Reasonable out-of-pocket expenses, such as travel from your home to your volunteering location, will be reimbursed. This role is subject to enhanced DBS Check, which will be carried out by St Monica Trust. We are committed to value equality and diversity in every aspect of St Monica Trust life.
Volunteers will NOT be expected to undertake any personal care tasks; have any involvement in medication; conduct manual handling tasks without prior training and authorisation.
