Job Purpose: The Senior Hospitality Assistants work closely with the Chef (Care Home) to prepare and cook food for residents in our care homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily food and drinks service across the care home, including cooking, preparing snacks, and finishing food prepared externally.
- Assist the Chef to ensure quality, timing, and compliance with dietary and nutritional needs.
- Deputise for the Chef, including cooking meals in the absence of the Chef.
- Support residents with food presentation and plating.
- Conduct daily checks on food temperature, labelling, and allergens.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
- Manage stock, including rotation and ordering.
- Close down the kitchen safely at the end of each day.

Other Skills and Qualifications:
- GCSEs in maths and English or equivalent.
- Experience in care home and catering environments.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Diploma or NVQ Level 2 in Catering/Food Service or equivalent.
- Experience supervising a team.
