What You'll Be Doing

  • Developing comprehensive procurement policies and contract management frameworks that ensure Trust-wide compliance and deliver measurable value.
  • Building strong supplier relationships whilst monitoring performance against legal, ethical, environmental and regulatory standards.
  • Leading sustainability initiatives including carbon reduction and energy efficiency programmes that fulfil our legal obligations whilst aligning with Trust strategy.
  • Tracking and reporting on procurement and sustainability KPIs, delivering insights that drive cost savings and performance improvements.
  • Advising diverse internal teams on sustainable practices and procurement excellence, from executive leadership to frontline colleagues.

What You'll Bring

Skills and Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Procurement qualification or working towards.
  • Significant experience (5+ years) in procurement, with a focus on sustainable practices within a large organisation.
  • Proven experience of cost savings and efficiencies in a large organisation through procurement.
  • Up to date working knowledge of Modern Slavery.
  • Up to date working knowledge of terms of business; business agreements; contracts for services and supplier and contract management.
  • Proficiency in management software, as well as Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of environmental standards (e.g., ISO 14001).
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional projects.
  • Experience and working knowledge of GDPR and Data Protection.

Desirable:

  • Environmental qualification and IEMA membership.
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Sustainability, Business, or a related field.
  • Sustainable qualification or working towards.
  • Experience of working within regulated organisations, including CQC.
