Hours: This is a multi-site position: 15 hours based in Garden House, 15 hours based in John Wills House. Total of 30 hours per week to include weekend working. Hourly rate: £13.44 per hour plus weekend enhancement where applicable Job Purpose The Chef (Care Home) manages the day-to-day food and drinks provision in their allocated care home by overseeing a kitchen and team of Senior Hospitality Assistants, with the majority of food prepared by our suppliers. Key Results Summary responsibilities/outcomes Responsible for the day-to-day provision of food and drinks service across allocated care home, tailored to meet the needs and preferences of our residents. Cooking of light meals and finishing/serving food prepared by our suppliers. Works closely with the Care Home General Manager, to ensure quality, planning and timings, consistency, and compliance in relation to modified diets and care/nutrition needs. Greater engagement of residents with food. Offering more choice and flexible timings, using presentation and aromas to entice residents. Cooking bespoke food options including breakfasts, light meals and for parties or events.
