Location: Keynsham, Bristol, UK

Schedule: Every Saturday (plus flexible availability for ad-hoc events)

Usual working hours: Saturday 9am-1pm

Pay Rate: NMW Depending on age.

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, energetic Kitchen Helper to support our cook. You will ensure our Saturday breakfast service runs smoothly and assist with food prep, plating, and cleanup during special events. This is a fast-paced role perfect for someone with a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation: Assist the cook with basic tasks like washing, peeling, chopping vegetables, and portioning ingredients.
  • Dishwashing: Handwashing and operating a commercial dishwasher to maintain a constant supply of clean dishes, ensuring this has full detergents during your shift.
  • Kitchen Cleanliness: Sweep/mop floors, empty rubbish bins, and sanitise food preparation surfaces to ensure a safe, hygienic environment.
  • Event Support: Help set up, serve, and clean down the kitchen for events as needed.
  • Stock Management: Assist with receiving deliveries, rotating stock, and organising the dry store and walk-in fridges/freezer.

Requirements

  • Availability: Must be available every Saturday (9am-1pm) with the flexibility to work later occasional evenings or Sundays for events is highly preferred.
  • Experience: Previous kitchen experience or hospitality environment is a plus, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are most important.
  • Qualifications: A valid Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is preferred, or a willingness to complete training immediately upon hiring.
  • Age: Due to the nature of this role you must be 18 years old or over.
