We’re now looking for a Wellbeing & Activities Coordinator to develop and deliver a creative, person-centred programme that reflects the diverse interests and needs of our residents. The Role
As our Activities Coordinator, you’ll lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of a varied and engaging activities programme. You’ll work collaboratively across the site, involving residents, volunteers and colleagues to ensure activities are inclusive, stimulating and aligned with individual needs and preferences.
You will:
- Develop, plan and communicate an evolving activities programme that reflects the full range of residents' interests and abilities
- Encourage and support residents to organise their own activities, promoting autonomy and confidence
- Monitor, evaluate and record activity outcomes to ensure they are beneficial and meaningful
- Work closely with care teams, pastoral support and facilities colleagues to design suitable group and individual activities
- Build strong links with the local community to create opportunities for intergenerational and external engagement
- Support, guide and coordinate volunteers and work-experience students involved in activities and events
- Work alongside the Social Care Deputy Manager to monitor activity budgets and ensure value for money across all expenditure
About You

Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Good level of general education (GCSE or equivalent)
- Good organisation & time management, and IT skills
- Experience planning and delivering a range of events or activities
- Experience completing and reviewing risk assessments
- Knowledge of good practice in dementia support, safeguarding and safe moving and handling
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- First aid knowledge or training
- Understanding of health and safety
- Knowledge of gentle exercise suitable for older adults
- Experience working with volunteers or work-experience students
- Clean, current driving licence (eligible to drive a minibus)
