About this Role
We are seeking an experienced, caring and committed Specialist Learning Support Assistant (SEND) to join our team and provide targeted support for pupils across Pre-Prep and Prep.
Working closely with our SENDCo, class teachers and wider teaching team, you will support pupils with a range of additional learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum, engage successfully with learning and develop confidence and independence.
The role will involve a combination of 1:1, small-group and classroom-based support, according to the individual needs of our pupils. We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience of phonics and early literacy, together with experience of supporting children with speech, language and communication needs.
You will help to deliver targeted interventions, adapt and scaffold learning, reinforce classroom teaching and monitor pupils' progress, sharing relevant observations with the SENDCo and teaching staff.
We are looking for someone who is calm, patient and encouraging, but who also has the skills and experience to make a genuine difference to children who require additional support. Previous experience of working with children with SEND or additional learning needs is important, and a relevant TA, SEND or education qualification would be advantageous.
This is a 35-hour-per-week, term-time-only position, working 8.15am-3.45pm Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid break, at a rate of up to Β£20.00 per hour.
