The Role
St Michaels Resort is looking to recruit an exceptional Duty Manager to join our Front of House team, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available. This is a hands‑on and varied role at the centre of resort operations, ideal for someone who loves hospitality, enjoys leading from the front, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment where no two days are the same.
You will play a key role in ensuring the guest journey runs smoothly from arrival to departure, while supporting the wider operation of the resort day to day. Whether responding to guest requests, supporting reception during busy periods, coordinating with other departments, or resolving challenges behind the scenes, you will be central to keeping everything running seamlessly. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a challenge, can think on their feet, and likes variety in their day. It is also a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure across all operational areas of the resort. From guest experience and front of house to maintenance, food and beverage, and wider resort operations, you will work closely with multiple departments and play a key role in bringing everything together to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
You will:
- Act as a key point of contact for guests across the resort
- Support the smooth day‑to‑day operation of St Michaels Resort
- Provide support to Reception and Front of House during busy periods
- Support departments across the resort whenever needed
- Respond to guest requests and resolve issues with confidence and care
- Liaise with departments including Front of House, Maintenance, Food & Beverage and Operations
- Take ownership of challenges and see them through to resolution
- Make confident decisions in the best interests of both our guests and crew
- Help create a calm, professional and positive atmosphere across the resort
About You
You will be someone who:
- Has previous hospitality experience at Supervisor or Management level
- Enjoys working with people and delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Is confident, professional and naturally welcoming
- Enjoys a challenge and stays calm under pressure
- Thinks on their feet and is confident making decisions
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Has strong attention to detail and high personal standards
- Is adaptable, proactive and enjoys variety

- Is flexible and able to work weekends and holiday periods, when the resort is at its busiest
