St Michaels Resort – Marketing and sales Director St Michaels is one of the leading resorts in the South West & has ambition to be the very best. In the past couple of years we have been voted Best UK Spa Hotel (AA); Large Hotel of the Year (Cornwall Tourism Awards) and Best Hotel in South West (Trenchermans) We also have the largest health Club in Cornwall and one of the UK’s top spas. This must be one of the most exciting Marketing opportunities in the South West, building a real destination brand. We need an experienced brand and digital marketeer to lead our Marketing, Sales and Revenue management function and join a small Board to drive the growth of St Michaels for the future Responsibilities * Strategic Leadership - represent marketing at board level and lead the development and delivery of the resort’s long-term vision, brand identity, market positioning * Shape and implement strategies to drive occupancy, revenue growth, guest satisfaction, and profitability. * Develop 3 year business strategies and plans for each business * Customer understanding ,market research/ competitor analysis , and data * Develop Products, service offerings, experiences etc in line with our customer needs / market trends and ensure they are priced to maximise total sector profitability. * Market Positioning, Brand Strategy, Brand Building * Review our “tech stack” ensuring we are using the optimum booking engines and digital partners and tools . Champion AI to improve customer service and drive efficiency * Develop and execute annual marketing communications plans across all of our businesses, especially across digital including PPC, Display, Retargeting, Meta, and Paid Social, as well as via PR, influencers, social etc * Present all of the St Michaels offer on its website/ websites/ app etc in an emotive, relevant, and impactful manner to generate sales and desirability * Lead the team in monitoring and evaluating performance, driving continuous improvement * Ensure we have highly impactful, relevant and exciting on property guest communication and brand building throughout the business through * Evaluate all channels and market sectors to create a more sophisticated and effective sales strategy * Oversee and develop our revenue management function to yield the highest total spend per room * Oversee and develop our reservations team and their sales/ conversion performance * Maximise sales revenue across the whole business, driving direct bookings wherever possible * Manage optimal reservations performance Your Background and Experience * At least 10years marketing experience rising to CMO, Director or Head of Marketing * Proven brand building expertise across a range of brands * Proven success in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive revenue growth. * Strong experience and Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media Which have delivered demonstrable success in digital marketing * Sophisticated CRM and emarketing experience * Development of strategy and annual business plans as well as marketing plans * Activity that demonstrates business success from creative ideas and innovation * Experience of managing teams effectively * Proven Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team Additional Desirable Skills & Experience * Experience in the hotel, self catering,wellness or hospitality sector * Luxury service brand experience * Revenue management * Management where the majority of sales have been on line * Management of a “perishable product
