To carry out routine maintenance and upkeep of the school grounds, playing fields and sports surfaces, working collaboratively with colleagues as part of a busy, professional team. The postholder will be required to live on site.

They will demonstrate an understanding of health and safety and actively contribute to a positive culture towards it throughout the role, ensuring the school complies with all current legislation relating to site safety and management.

Previous experience of working in a school.

Understanding of Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE) and safeguarding in school.

Qualifications relating to grounds maintenance eg. Level 2 Sports Turf/Horticulture

Proven experience working in a grounds, maintenance or site role.

Experience of working with grounds equipment and hand tools.

Have good literacy skills, computer literate and be proficient in the use of Word and Outlook.

Understanding of health & safety requirements within a workplace.
