The successful applicant will be part of a multi‑disciplinary team, providing expert and highly specialised palliative and end‑of‑life care to patients and families accessing our Inpatient Unit. You will join our inpatient team and help shape the delivery of care that we provide.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert palliative and end‑of‑life care within the Inpatient Unit.
- Role model good care as a key member of the nursing team.
- Actively participate in Quality Improvement methodology to enhance service delivery.
- Collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary team to support patients, families and staff.
- Support newly qualified Registered Nurses in their transition to practice.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licence.
- Experience within a hospice ward setting is preferred.
- Experience in other palliative and end‑of‑life care settings is acceptable.
- Passion and enthusiasm for palliative care and specialist hospice service.
Working Hours
- 37.5 hours per week over a 4‑week roster, including weekends and nights.
- Shift times: 07:30–20:00 and 19:30–08:00.
- Work across long days, including day and night shifts, with roster changes such as weekend and night duties.
