After School Club Assistant at St Georges CofE (Aided) Primary School in Sheerness

About this Role

St Georges CofE (Aided) Primary School are seeking afriendly, enthusiastic, and responsible individual to join our team as a After School Club Assistant. In this rewarding role, you will support the day-to-dayrunning of our wrap around care provision, helping to create a safe, fun, andengaging environment for children. You will work closely with colleagues toprovide high-quality care, supervise children, and support a range ofstimulating activities that promote children's wellbeing and development.

This post is for 9 hours, 3 days per week (days can be discussed at interview) term time only (38 weeks).

Key Responsibilities

• Support the smooth day-to-day operation of thewrap around care provision.
• Provide direct supervision and care for childrenaged 4 to 11.
• Assist in planning, organising, and delivering avariety of enjoyable and age-appropriate activities.
• Promote the safety, welfare, and safeguarding ofall children at all times.
• Build positive relationships with children,encouraging inclusion, independence, and positive behaviour.
• Communicate professionally and effectively withparents, carers, and school staff.
• Maintain accurate records in line with schoolprocedures and safeguarding policies.
• Assist with the preparation and serving ofhealthy snacks, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
• Help maintain a welcoming, positive, clean, andwell-organised environment.
• Support colleagues in ensuring the provisionoperates effectively and meets the needs of all children attending.

• Experience working with children in a school,childcare, or similar setting (preferred).

• Good communication and organisational skills.
