About this Role
We are seeking to appoint a Inclusion Support Assistant to work with a young person in our Year 1 Class. A level 3 TA qualification is desirable as well as experience of supporting SEND pupils, although a Level 2 qualification will be considered for the right candidate. There is some flexibility with working hours and days for the right candidate, although we are initially looking for 8.30-3.30 Monday to Friday.
We require someone who:
- Has experience of working with children who require communication and language support and a sensory diet.
- Has experience and sound knowledge of working in the EYFS and continuous provision.
- Has experience of working with children who require additional support for learning.
- Has the relevant skills and strategies to ensure support can be implemented to meet the requirements in an EHCP, including working with parents and carers and the SENCO.
- Have good behaviour management strategies.
- Is flexible and well organised.
- Has good interpersonal skills and is able to communicate well.
This position is temporary until 31st July 2027 or until the child leaves the school / dependent on additional funding received to support individual pupil's needs.
