Maintenance Operative
Location: St Mellion Estate, Saltash, Cornwall
Full Time
We are looking for a maintenance assistant who will perform general maintenance repairs/duties both inside and outside of the hotel building and cottages. You will be required to show that you have practical skills and knowledge in trades such as general maintenance repairs, building repairs, painting and decorating and minor carpentry, plumbing and electrical work. The role requires good knowledge of all round DIY and we are looking for someone who is able to use their own initiative as well as working as part of a team whilst being responsible for their own health and safety as well as the guests.

Requirements / Experience for this role:
- Previous experience in general / property maintenance work is essential, including plumbing, tiling, basic joinery, equipment replacement and repairs, decoration and making good.
- Good communication skills
- Strong team ethic
- Willingness to learn.
Shift Pattern:
We are looking for someone who can be flexible with their working week as this position will require you to work at least one weekend day per week.
About you
- Good at problem solving and solution focussed.
- Knowledge of Snapfix or similar software.

Preferred Background:
- Plumbing experience is desirable for this role, as is electrical installation knowledge
- Experience with working in a high-volume environment
