A leadership opportunity has arisen to join the Careers and Enterprise (C&E) Development Team as a C&E Development Manager. The role will lead and develop portfolios or projects that focus on embedding employability and enterprise within or alongside the curriculum. A recent transformation programme at UWE means the role comes at a pivotal time with an opportunity to shape good practice and new ways of working.
The C&E Development Team sit within the Library and Learning Services and this will be an opportunity to work with other leads in that space. The delivery of employability will require the C&E Development Team to have strong connectivity and partnerships within Colleges, as well as through key departments such as Research and External Engagement, Student Life and Future Students. Prioritisation of work and measuring impact will guide conversations and emergent team identity. Working as part of a Career Development Leadership team to assure consistency and quality in the determination and development of an employability offer will be a critical feature of the role at this exciting time.
About You
You will be someone who has a real understanding of employability and enterprise in Higher Education, a sense of activity that is impactful, and a strong consideration of how it can be aligned or embedded within the curriculum. You should have strong insight into the graduate labour market and a real sense of the value of postgraduate study and entrepreneurship as powerful graduate outcomes. You will show an eye for data and metrics, and knowledge of the key indicators that provide a sense of progress for students and institutions when building employability plans and activity. You will be a collaborator, a partner and a positive leader of people and projects.
Where is this role based?
This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed. You will need to spend an element of your time at our Glenside campus.

This is a part-time, permanent post, working 17.5 hours per week. UWE Bristol is a campus-based University and it is vital to our success and the delivery of an outstanding experience for our students that our campuses are dynamic and vibrant places to learn and spend time. This role is therefore campus based for at least 50% of your time to assure team connectivity and leadership.
