About Us: St Matthias Academy is a special school that serves students with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. We are dedicated to providing a supportive and engaging learning environment where every student can thrive. This role is a key part of our commitment to ensuring our school sites are secure, clean, and functional for our entire community.
The Role: We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our friendly school team! You’ll help keep our school clean, safe, and welcoming for pupils, staff, and visitors.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out daily cleaning tasks as directed by the Site Manager.
- Using cleaning equipment safely (e.g. floor buffers, carpet cleaners).
- Emptying bins, mopping floors, vacuuming, and cleaning surfaces and furniture.
- Replenishing soap, toilet rolls, and other supplies.
- Taking part in occasional deep cleans such as wall or window cleaning.
- Helping keep our food tech rooms clean and hygienic when needed.
