St Matthews CofE is a one form entry school located in West Wimbledon. We are looking for a Caretaker to join our friendly team. This is a part-time role of 25 hours a week during the school term, with 3 weeks to be worked throughout the school holiday. The daily hours are 7:30 am to 12:30 pm Monday to Friday. We can be flexible for the right candidate.

We ideally are looking for someone who comes from a building or premises background, perhaps an experienced trade person looking to wind down but want to keep a steady income, or someone looking for a role that allows other jobs in the afternoon.

The key attributes that you must demonstrate are pride in all tasks you do and a willingness to contribute to all areas of busy school life. Whoever is chosen for this role will need to be physically fit and have a common sense approach to all work that needs to be completed. You will also need to be flexible to meet the needs of the school, combining planned and regular tasks with the day-to-day running of the school.

Interviews will be held week commencing 14 September 2026.
