Contract Term: Fixed Term until 31st August 2027

Hours: 32.5 hours per week

Salary: Grade SC5 NJC 12 - 17 actual starting salary £22,419 (FTE £29,541)

Term Time only: 39 weeks per annum

Annual Leave: Taken outside of term time and paid pro-rata throughout the year (no annual leave to be taken during term time)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated team at St Matthew’s CofE Primary School and Nursery. This is an exciting opportunity to lead high-quality learning across the school, providing teachers with their PPA time while delivering engaging lessons, including PE, to pupils from Reception through to Year 6.

We are looking for an individual who demonstrates excellent classroom practice, maintains high expectations for all pupils, and has the confidence and flexibility to teach across a range of subjects and age groups. The successful candidate will be adaptable, organised and passionate about helping children achieve their full potential, while contributing positively to the wider life of the school.

The successful applicant will be approachable, enthusiastic and patient, with strong communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children. You will have experience of working across the primary curriculum and hold HLTA status, or possess an equivalent qualification or relevant experience.
