Location: St Mary's University Campus

Salary: £745.92 per week (Non-residential), £668.22 per week (Residential)

Basis: Full time/ Fixed Term 1st July – 29th July or 1st July – 12th August

Weekly Hours: The postholders will be required to work 36 hours per week, on a rotated shift basis. Details of shifts will be provided when you arrive at the camp but will be subject to change based on operational need.

Package: Accrued holiday allowance will be paid at the end of the engagement at the rate of 12.08% of salary.

Job Description: Camp St Mary’s London is an ambitious new venture at St Mary’s University hosting an English-language summer camp for approximately 350 international students per week in July and 125 in August. We are looking for motivated and engaging Summer Camp English Teachers to join our academic team, offering either a residential or non-residential experience on our historic Twickenham campus. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare and deliver communicative, high-quality lessons across a range of levels to multinational classes, following our prescribed syllabus and utilising provided course books, creating a positive learning environment that focuses on improving students' functional English and overall confidence. You must be able to work well under pressure as part of a diverse team and demonstrate a genuine interest in foreign cultures. By joining the Camp St Mary’s team, you will develop invaluable life skills in communication and leadership while making a lasting impact on the lives of international students.

St Mary's University staff have a responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children with whom they come into contact and are required to adhere to and ensure compliance with Safeguarding Policy at all times. The appointment will be subject to satisfactory references as well as medical clearance, an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), evidence of eligibility to work in the UK and evidence of qualifications. All of the above checks must have been completed before the start of the employment.
