As Digital Marketing Officer (Content Lead), you will shape and deliver St Mary's University's content strategy across the website, CRM, mobile app and other digital channels. You will create clear, audience-focused content, improve user journeys and use tools such as GA4, Google Search Console and SEMrush to optimise performance. Alongside strategic projects, you will support day-to-day content delivery, campaigns and ongoing maintenance, ensuring content remains accurate, accessible and effective. You will act as a digital content expert, advising colleagues on content design, writing for the web, SEO, GEO, accessibility and content governance. This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who enjoys combining creativity, strategy, data and practical delivery. With a full website redevelopment ahead, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to play a key role in shaping a major digital project from the ground up.

We are looking for an experienced digital content professional with strong writing, editing and proofreading skills, and a proven ability to create clear, engaging and audience-focused content across websites and other digital channels. The successful candidate will have experience developing and delivering content strategies, publishing through a content management system and using analytics, SEO and audience insight to improve content performance. They will understand content design, user experience, accessibility and the importance of maintaining accurate, relevant and well-governed digital content. They will be a confident and collaborative communicator, able to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, provide clear advice and influence content decisions. They will also be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities, work independently and take ownership of both strategic projects and day-to-day content requirements. A creative, practical and data-informed approach, strong attention to detail and enthusiasm for digital content and emerging trends will be essential.
