About The Role
We are looking to recruit both Domestic Cleaners and Early Morning Cleaners to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across St Mary's University campus and student accommodation.
Preferred working pattern out of two proposed will be discussed during the interview process.
This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and motivated individuals who take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, clean and disinfect designated areas.
- Dust furniture and clean desks and other surfaces.
- Empty waste and recycling bins and replace bin liners.
- Replenish consumables such as soap, paper towels and toilet tissue.
- Follow cleaning schedules and use equipment and cleaning products safely.
- Report maintenance issues, faulty equipment and health and safety concerns.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation throughout the campus.
- Work independently and collaboratively with colleagues, porters and other campus services staff.
About You
- Reliable, punctual and able to work early morning shifts where required.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
- Physically able to undertake cleaning duties, including standing, walking, bending, lifting and pushing equipment.
- A good communicator with strong teamwork skills.
- Committed to delivering excellent standards of cleanliness and customer service.
Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as full training may be provided.
- Working Environment
- Primarily based at the main St Mary's University campus in Twickenham, with occasional work at other nearby University buildings.
- Uniform and protective clothing are generally provided.
- Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn when carrying out cleaning duties.
- The role involves manual handling, prolonged periods of standing and the safe use of cleaning equipment and products.
