Technology and Design (Control Systems) Technician Ref: T-26-1 Job PurposeTo provide practical technical support for the teaching and learning of Technology and Design, ensuring that all systems, tools, and facilities operate safely, and are fully prepared for teaching and learning to include the supervision of students in the workshop and supervision of independent student study and practical activities. Salary:Grade 5 points 20-24, currently £29,588 £33,002 gross per annum (salary scale at 1st August 2025) Hours:35 hours per week: Monday to Friday from 9am until 5pm, with a one-hour lunch break. Consideration will be given to a term time only contract. Holidays: 25 days holiday in addition to 11 public holidays and 7 discretionary closure days allocated at Christmas and Easter. Pension: The NI Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS): a defined benefit and contributory pension scheme. The Northern Ireland Local Government Officers Superannuation Committee (NILGOSC) is the administrator. Probation: The appointment is subject to the satisfactory completion of a probationary period of 6 months.
