Job Purpose: To contribute to the operation of a library service by assisting students, staff and others in the use of a range of library services in a polite, professional and helpful manner.

Hours: Monday until Friday from 9am-1pm

Rate of Pay: Gross hourly rate will range from £12.67 - £13.87 gross per hour based on a grade 3 full time equivalent salary of £23,061 - £25,249 gross per annum.

Contractual Status: Temporary. Required immediately during a period of staff absence. One weeks notice of employment end date will be provided.

Holidays: 25 days per annum pro rata. Holidays will be pro-rated, equivalent to hours and weeks of work. As this position is required to provide staff cover during absence, holidays can only be taken by agreement with the Librarian when additional staff cover can be arranged.
