St Mary's CE (Foundation) Primary School, Hampton Road Stansted CM24 8FE is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 Class Teacher for a fixed-term maternity cover beginning in the Summer Term. There is the possibility that the post may be extended into the 2026/27 academic year.
We are looking for a teacher who:
- is ambitious, enthusiastic, energetic and enjoys having fun
- is creative and inspiring in their teaching
- is an excellent, experienced classroom practitioner with high expectations for all learners in relation to pupil achievement and behaviour
- has a strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum, including preparation for and transition from SATs

- is keen to work collaboratively in planning and delivering high-quality lessons
- has a strong understanding of good practice, assessment and personalised learning in Year 6
