We are seeking to appoint a strong, adaptable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support learning across whole classes, as well as working closely with pupils with Special Educational Needs who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The role will also include responsibilities as a Midday Meal Supervisor.
A good working knowledge of how to support pupils with language and communication needs, social communication difficulties, cognition and learning needs, and the development of social skills is essential.
You will work under the direction of the class teacher and SENCo to provide high-quality support that enables all pupils to achieve their full potential, both academically and socially.

You will be required to support children’s learning and development, help to plan and organise activities and the learning environment as well as contribute to the overall ethos of the school. You will also be required to participate in training and other learning activities as necessary and undertake first aid training.
Experience of working with children with SEN is desirable and you should have experience of working with children in a mainstream educational setting. This post would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant, an aspiring teacher or recent graduate. It offers an excellent opportunity to develop the skills and experience needed to progress towards teacher training.
