The Academy Council of this high achieving and oversubscribed Catholic Voluntary Academy is looking to appoint a Design & Technology Technician to co-ordinate the use of practical resources and equipment to support the teaching and curriculum development of a range of Design Technology subjects from Key stage 3 to 5. The role will involve providing technical support, ensuring and maintaining a safe working environment and that the workroom equipment is functioning properly and is ready to use.
Applicants need to have a technical background and experience of multi-tasking, problem solving and implementing and monitoring Health and Safety checks. You will have good knowledge of health and safety regulations and working practices with the willingness and ability to work with young people. You will have effective and efficient organisational skills, be able to work as part of a team and use your own initiative. Good literacy and numeracy skills are essential.
