We are seeking a highly organised, experienced and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. Working 20 hours over 5 weekdays, the Medical Receptionist will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing patient appointments, and performing various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Main duties of the job:

  • Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
  • Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, mail/post and data entry

Job responsibilities:

Qualifications:

  • Good standard of education - GCSE (A-C) 6 and over.
  • Previous experience in GP surgery.
  • Emis and Docman experience.
  • Proficient in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and scanners.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
