Job Summary: St Mary’s Hospice is entering an exciting new chapter. With a new Chief Executive and a bold three‑year strategy in motion, we are looking for a visionary Legacy Manager to lead our long‑term income growth. This unique, brand‑new position sits at the heart of our Community Services and Income Generation teams. As our Legacy Manager, you will champion legacy giving across the organisation, lead the delivery of our growth strategy, and build a sustainable legacy programme to ensure our care continues for generations to come.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver long‑term income generation plans.
- Steward high‑quality supporters and build trust with them.
- Identify and advance a robust future pipeline of legacy gifts.

What We Do: We are a charity providing specialist palliative, supportive, and end‑of‑life care for people living with advancing illness and their families. We operate a 6‑8 bedded In‑Patient Unit, Hospice at Home Service, Family & Bereavement Support Service, and Living Well Therapies at our locations in Ulverston and Barrow in Furness. We also serve the community with therapy groups and home‑based care. As a regional educational hub for palliative and end‑of‑life care, we deliver training to internal staff and the wider healthcare workforce as part of the NW Coast Learning Collaborative.
