What You'll Be Doing
As our Domestic/Laundry Assistant, you'll play a vital role in enriching the lives of residents by:
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the premises and ensuring the efficient laundering of clothes, linens, and other washable items.
- Collecting, sorting, and washing laundry items (e.g., clothing, bed linen, towels).
- Operating washing machines, dryers, and ironing/pressing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Folding, ironing, and storing laundered items appropriately.
- Labeling or identifying personal laundry if required.
- Ensuring infection control procedures are followed.
- Reporting any faulty laundry equipment or maintenance issues.
- Cleaning designated areas including bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas, and kitchens.
- Vacuuming, dusting, mopping, disinfecting surfaces, and removing rubbish as needed.
- Refilling supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
- Following cleaning schedules and procedures in accordance with hygiene and safety standards.
- Notifying supervisor of any hazards or repairs needed in the premises.
