The appointed person will teach English Language and Literature to GCSE Level and an additional subject to KS3. They will be required to adhere to the general duties and responsibilities contained within the Teachers’ (Terms and Conditions of Employment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1987.
Responsibilities
- To teach English Language and Literature throughout KS3 and KS4.
- To teach an additional subject to KS3.
- To act as a form teacher with pastoral care duties.
- To teach LLW / PD programme.
- To lead and deliver co-curricular activities within the school.
Skills and Qualifications
- A teaching qualification as approved by the Department of Education (NI);
- An honours degree, or equivalent, in which English Language/Literature is a major component.
- A minimum of a 2:2 honours degree in which English Language/Literature is the major component;
- Experience in delivering English Language and Literature at GCSE.
