Exams Access Arrangements (EAA) Officer - Maternity Cover until Easter 2027
37 hours per week, term time plus 12 additional days. Usual working hours 8am to 4pm. Flexible working is required during examination periods, which could involve earlier starts and later finishes.
We are looking to recruit an Exams Access Arrangements Officer to support the SENCo, EAA Assessor and Examinations Manager to manage the administration of examination access arrangements and other functions of internal and external exams for St Mary's College.
As the EAA Officer, you will be responsible for gathering and collating information regarding students who are entitled to access arrangements or who have been highlighted as requiring assessment for exam access arrangements. You will take the lead in organising and maintaining all systems and processes associated with exam access arrangements, including monitoring approved applications and ensuring the College is fully compliant with JCQ regulations, and be confident in evidencing this during inspections.
As part of the examination team you will be expected to support with the day to day functions of all aspects of external and internal examinations. You will also be expected to support the Cover Manager with their duties.
To succeed in this role you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to work well under pressure and be willing to learn the various examination board IT systems. You will be a team player, pro-active, flexible, organised and able to use your own initiative.
Prior knowledge of compliancy in relation to the JCQ regulations, and a knowledge and understanding of awarding organisations and the regulatory framework for administering examinations, are desirable for the role, but full training will be given.
