This role is a central part of the spiritual life at St Mary's College, where the successful Chaplaincy Coordinator will lead, develop and deliver engaging and inspiring chaplaincy provisions for students in Years 7‑13 and support staff. The position is reserved for practising Catholics who are fully committed to supporting and enhancing the Catholic ethos of the school.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop and deliver chaplaincy provision for Year 7‑13 students and staff.
- Ensure every member of the community has the opportunity to encounter the unconditional love of God, learn about the richness of the Catholic faith and tradition, grow in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and flourish in all aspects of life.
- Plan and lead liturgical celebrations and acts of worship.
- Inspire and engage young people in their faith journey.
- Provide pastoral care and support to students and staff as required.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents and external partners to promote the school’s mission statement: "With God, all things are possible".
Qualifications
- Strong personal faith and a passion for chaplaincy work.
- Confidence in planning and leading liturgical celebrations and acts of worship.
