The Governors are looking for a highly motivated and inspirational Teaching Assistant to join our Catholic primary school at St. Mary’s Horsforth Catholic Voluntary Academy. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is an excellent Teaching Assistant and has high expectations in terms of children’s achievement and behaviour, to support a child with Autism. EYFS experience is also desirable.
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who:
- Is a practising Catholic or supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school
- Is warm, friendly and empathetic
- Has excellent English, maths and communication skills
- Has a good understanding of autism
- Is proactive in improving their practice to support children with SEND
- Understands how individual children learn to ensure rapid progress
- Is committed to high standards of attainment and behaviour
- Works effectively as part of a skilled team including outside agencies
- Is a dedicated, enthusiastic and flexible teaching assistant
