Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional health needs? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Personal Health Care Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a named pupil with personal healthcare needs within a primary school setting. This role is part time - 7.5 hours per week - Term time only - Fixed term until 31st August 2027.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and healthcare professionals to ensure the pupil receives consistent, dignified, and safe care throughout the school day and during school trips.
  • Supporting personal healthcare routines (e.g., toileting, feeding, tracheostomy care, medication administration).
  • Promoting independence and wellbeing.
  • Maintaining accurate medical records and care plans.
  • Collaborating with families and external agencies.
  • Upholding confidentiality and safeguarding standards.

Qualifications:

  • Experienced in school, care, or healthcare settings.
  • Qualified in GCSE Maths & English (Grade C or above).
  • Willing to undertake training in First Aid, Safeguarding, and Tracheostomy care.
  • Compassionate, resilient, and able to respond calmly in emergency situations.
  • Skilled in communication, teamwork, and record-keeping.
