About St Mary's Catholic High School. Role Overview. The School seeks a creative and motivated Teacher of Science for temporary part-time (0.67 FTE) maternity cover, covering one term from September to December 2026. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and qualifications, and a passion for supporting all students to develop their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- A passionate advocate for science.
- Dynamic and innovative, providing high-quality teaching and learning and enhancing the subject’s excellent exam results.
- An exceptional classroom practitioner, delivering lessons that motivate and inspire students to achieve.
- Able to contribute effectively to the delivery of Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Science.
Support and Development. The position is supported by a welcoming and supportive environment led by a leadership team committed to staff wellbeing. A programme of weekly induction sessions will introduce you to key members of staff and the school’s policies and procedures.
