Acomb Manor is preparing to welcome its very first residents, and we're looking for an exceptional Housekeeper to join our opening team. As part of the trusted St Mary's Care Group, we're creating more than a luxury care home. We're creating a warm, welcoming environment where people feel comfortable, safe and proud to call it home.
The Opportunity
As Housekeeper, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the high standards and luxury environment that define Acomb Manor. You’ll help ensure every bedroom, lounge, corridor and communal area reflects the warmth, attention to detail and pride that our residents deserve. Working closely with the wider team, you'll help create an environment where people genuinely enjoy spending time and feel truly at home.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Creating a Home to Be Proud Of: Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness throughout the home, ensuring all areas are welcoming, comfortable and beautifully presented.
- Taking Pride in the Details: Ensure bedrooms, lounges, bathrooms and communal areas remain spotless, organised and inviting.
- Supporting Resident Wellbeing: Recognise that a clean, comfortable environment contributes significantly to residents' happiness, safety and quality of life.
- Maintaining Excellent Standards: Follow cleaning schedules and infection prevention procedures to ensure consistently high standards throughout the home.
- Supporting Daily Operations: Manage cleaning supplies, report maintenance concerns and help ensure all housekeeping equipment is safe and well maintained.
- Working as One Team: Build positive relationships with residents, colleagues and visitors while contributing to a caring and supportive culture.
- Promoting Safety: Support the home's Health & Safety, COSHH and infection prevention procedures to maintain a safe environment for everyone.
About You
We're looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their work and enjoys making a difference. You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience within housekeeping, domestic services, hospitality or cleaning.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A positive and friendly attitude.
- Good organisational skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A caring and respectful approach when interacting with residents.
Most importantly, you'll understand that maintaining a beautiful environment is an important part of delivering exceptional care.
