Join Hutton Manor Care Home and Help Make Every Night Matter

At Hutton Manor Care Home, part of the St Mary's Care Group, we believe that exceptional care doesn't stop when the sun goes down. The night-time hours are often when residents need reassurance, comfort, and compassionate support the most, and that's where our dedicated night team makes a real difference.

We are committed to delivering person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, choice, and wellbeing. Our residents deserve to feel safe, respected, and at home around the clock, and we are looking for a caring and experienced Team Leader to help us achieve this every night.

If you're passionate about supporting older people, leading by example, and helping create a calm and nurturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Night Team Leader, you'll play a key role in ensuring residents receive the highest standards of care and support throughout the night. Working closely with the management team and night care staff, you'll lead by example, provide guidance to colleagues, and help maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supporting the night care team to deliver safe, compassionate, and person-centred care.
  • Supporting residents with all aspects of daily living while promoting dignity, independence, and choice.
  • Monitoring residents' health, wellbeing, and comfort throughout the night and responding appropriately to any concerns.
  • Supporting and mentoring new and junior team members.
  • Ensuring care plans and daily records are completed accurately and maintained to a high standard.
  • Working closely with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals, and the wider management team.
  • Supporting residents with mobility needs and the safe use of equipment and aids.
  • Providing reassurance and support to residents living with dementia or those who may become anxious or unsettled overnight.
  • Delivering compassionate end-of-life care where required.
  • Ensuring effective communication and thorough handovers between shifts.
  • Promoting a positive culture where residents' wellbeing and quality of life remain at the heart of everything we do.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is kind, caring, and passionate about supporting older people.
  • Has previous experience in a Team Leader, Senior Care Assistant, or similar role.
  • Is confident leading and motivating a team.
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Remains calm, professional, and dependable in a busy care environment.
  • Understands the importance of person-centred care, dignity, and safeguarding.
  • Holds an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or is willing to work towards this qualification.
  • Is flexible and able to work alternate weekends as part of the rota.
  • Wants to make a genuine difference to the lives of residents every day.

What We Offer

At St Mary's Care Group, we know that our colleagues are at the heart of everything we do. That's why we're committed to creating a supportive environment where you can thrive both personally and professionally.

In return, you'll enjoy:

  • A friendly, welcoming, and supportive workplace.
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Clear pathways for career progression.
  • A rewarding role where you can make a real difference every day.
  • The opportunity to be part of a compassionate and dedicated team.
  • The satisfaction of helping residents feel safe, comfortable, and cared for throughout the night.
