The Role

As a Kitchen Assistant, you'll be an important part of the catering team, helping ensure residents receive high-quality meals in a safe, clean and welcoming environment.

You'll support the Chef, maintain excellent kitchen standards and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen.

Every task you undertake, from food preparation to maintaining cleanliness, helps enhance the experience of our residents.

What You'll Do

Support Meal Preparation

Assist the Chef with preparing ingredients and meals that are nutritious, fresh and appealing.

Deliver Excellent Service

Help ensure meals are served efficiently and thoughtfully while respecting individual choices and dietary needs.

Keep Standards High

Maintain exceptional cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas.

Manage Deliveries and Stock

Receive deliveries, store food correctly and support effective stock rotation procedures.

Promote Food Safety

Operate safely and follow all food hygiene, HACCP, COSHH and Health & Safety requirements.

Work as One Team

Support colleagues throughout the home and contribute to creating a positive and friendly environment.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience within catering, hospitality or food preparation is desirable.
  • A positive and hardworking attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • An appreciation of high standards and attention to detail.
  • A caring and respectful approach towards older people.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys helping others.
