What You’ll Be Doing

As our Domestic/Laundry Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in enriching the lives of residents by:

  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the premises and ensuring the efficient laundering of clothes, linens, and other washable items.

The role contributes to a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Laundry Duties:

  • Collect, sort, and wash laundry items (e.g., clothing, bed linen, towels).
  • Operate washing machines, dryers, and ironing/pressing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Fold, iron, and store laundered items appropriately.
  • Label or identify personal laundry if required.
  • Ensure infection control procedures are followed.
  • Report any faulty laundry equipment or maintenance issues.

Domestic/Cleaning Duties:

  • Clean designated areas including bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas, and kitchens.
  • Vacuum, dust, mop, disinfect surfaces, and remove rubbish as needed.
  • Refill supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
  • Follow cleaning schedules and procedures in accordance with hygiene and safety standards.
  • Notify supervisor of any hazards or repairs needed in the premises.
