St Marys CofE Primary School Timsbury is looking for a reliable and friendly Cleaner to join our dedicated team. You will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness across the school, ensuring a safe, tidy and welcoming environment for our pupils and staff. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a supportive school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out daily cleaning tasks including mopping, vacuuming, dusting and polishing furniture and fittings.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste in designated compounds.
- Clean washrooms and replenish consumables like soap and paper towels; clean kitchen surfaces and appliances where required.
- Use all cleaning chemicals and machinery safely, ensuring full compliance with operational guidelines and safety protocols.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety, reporting any concerns to the Office Manager or Head of School.
- Participate in periodic special cleaning programmes such as internal window cleaning or wall washing.
Requirements:
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- A reliable, adaptable and friendly approach.
- Physical ability to undertake bending, lifting and stretching.
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
