Your Role

As F&B Host at St. Martins Lane, your role is to acknowledge and host all guests during the daily operations of the F&B outlet, serving as the primary point of contact while controlling the pace of service by managing seating allocations and table turnarounds. The Host, under the guidance of F&B Management Team, ensures the commercial success of the department through meticulous floor management and a relentless focus on the 5* guest journey.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Act as the central communication hub between the F&B management, culinary team, guest relation team and concierge to ensure dietary requirements and special occasions are executed flawlessly.
  • Recognise and remember regular guests’ preferences, proactively managing inquiries and resolving any guest concerns with grace and discretion.
  • Maintain the aesthetic integrity of the outlet, ensuring the reception area and dining room meet the hotel’s stringent brand standards and grooming guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a high‑volume, 5* hotel or a Michelin‑standard restaurant within London is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional command of the English language, both written and spoken, with the ability to engage confidently with diverse, high‑net‑worth individuals.
  • High proficiency in industry‑standard reservation software and a working knowledge of POS systems (e.g., Micros Symphony, OpenTable, Collins, FORK).
  • The ability to remain calm and elegant during "the rush," managing guest expectations during peak service times or overbooking situations.
  • A commitment to a professional, polished appearance that aligns with the hotel’s luxury atmosphere.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, late evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Ability to maintain high energy levels while standing in a confined, fast‑paced environment for long periods.
  • Stamina to log significant walking mileage without a drop in performance.
  • Adherence to the highest standards of personal presentation, reflecting the lifestyle energy and prestige of a 5* London institution.

  • Our enviable employee discounts on bedroom rates across the LGH hotel portfolio.
  • Shopping discounts - ranging from groceries, fashion, travel, utilities, days out, and even holidays.
  • Eye care
