Job Overview: St Martins Care are recruiting for a Registered Nurse to work at their busy Nursing and Residential Care Home. Location: The service premises, but you may be required to work from other locations at the discretion of the company and with appropriate notice.
Role-specific Duties
- Ensure residents are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing.
- Provide nursing care in accordance with current best practice, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations under the direction of the Manager.
- Undertake all aspects of medicine management in line with legal, professional and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise staff and ensure that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service.
- Work within the NMC Code of Conduct.
- Be responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of those individuals supported by the service.

About the Role
Essential Criteria
- Registered Nurse Qualification.
- Registered with relevant body, e.g. NMC.
- Good English (written and verbal).
Skills
- Maintain care plans/care records in accordance with the service’s policy and audit care records following company policy to ensure compliance.
- Communication skills to build rapport with residents, communicate effectively with them, and inform colleagues, management, and professionals about their needs.
- Problem-solving skills to adapt to and address situations quickly, develop solutions, and recognise/report situations requiring protection.
- Assist residents with daily tasks by following their care plan, which may include bathing, eating, dressing, grooming, and using the bathroom.
- Supervise staff providing residents with support/assistance as they accomplish daily tasks, including bathing, eating, dressing, grooming and using the bathroom.
