St Martin of Tours Housing Association is a regulated Registered Provider providing supported accommodation and mental health care services in London. It supports adults with complex mental health needs to improve wellbeing, build independence and live fulfilling lives within the community.

Our organisation is committed to sustainable growth and diversification, backed by both traditional and institutional investment. We hold the Investors in People Silver Standard and strong CQC ratings, highlighting our dedication to quality and improvement. The Board recently approved a strategic plan for business diversification, enabling entry into permanent accommodation.

The Chair of the Board provides non‐executive strategic leadership to the Board, ensuring effective governance, clarity of purpose, and alignment with the association's mission and values. The Chair works closely with the Chief Executive (or equivalent senior lead) to ensure that the Board sets strategic direction, fulfils its legal and regulatory responsibilities, and receives appropriate assurance that these responsibilities are being met, while remaining appropriately removed from day‐to‐day operations.

We are seeking a Chair who is passionate about our mission as a diverse mental health supported housing association. Our work is rooted in compassion and ambition — supporting people with complex needs to build independence, confidence, and meaningful lives within their communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Chair and actively participate in Board meetings.
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight.
  • Collaborate with other board members and senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Advocate for the organisation's mission and values.

At the heart of our decision-making is a strong and clear dedication to our residents and customers and ensuring diversity of thought and inclusivity at every level.
