St Mark and All Saints C of E Primary School are looking for an enthusiastic, talented Teaching Assistant to nurture and support our children whilst inspiring them to learn new things. This is a full-time (term time only) position to help progress children and inspire them to learn new things. An excellent opportunity to join a school in The Good Shepherd Trust academy within easy reach of Guildford and the A3. St Mark and All Saints have well-resourced classrooms and a supportive staff team.

The role will include responsibilities such as:

  • Supporting children’s learning (Nursery to Year 6)
  • Undertaking playground duties
  • Preparing resources
  • Assisting the class teacher
  • Lunch duty

There is also the possibility of additional hours working in our Wraparound care Treetops.

Salary: Grade B (£22,919) FTE (£17,539.93 annually (actual))

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 32.5 hours per week term time only - (8:30am - 3:30pm)

What we are looking for:

  • GCSE grades of at least ‘C’ in English and Maths
  • The ability to read and write fluently and confidence in maths
  • Self-confidence, common sense and maturity
  • A good sense of humour and effective communication skills
  • Adaptability and enthusiasm
  • SEN experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Be confident to work with pupils from Nursery to Year 6
