Salary: Grade 6, £18,358 - £20,258 per annum. 27.5 hours per week, term time working 38 weeks per year. Required for September 2026.

Your role:

  • The Governing Board, staff and children of St. Marie's Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated school team.
  • You will work across the whole school, and the range of support will vary from covering PPA sessions and management time, to leading Special Educational Needs interventions and supporting class teachers with small group work, marking, displays and organisation of resources.

  • Fully supportive of the Catholic ethos, values and Mission Statement.
  • Able to use your own initiative to work without supervision.
  • Able to plan, deliver, mark and assess a subject area to cover PPA and management time.
  • Be caring, positive and flexible with a willingness to work as part of our team.
  • Able to support the delivery of high quality learning experiences for all children.
  • Highly motivated with high expectations of children’s achievements and behaviour.
  • Committed to school improvement and raising standards of achievement.
