Main Responsibilities
The role of Receptionist/Administrator includes but is not limited to
- Reception duties
- Welcoming visitors to school.
- Answering the telephone and door entry system.
- First point of contact for responding to questions from pupils and staff.
- Office duties
- Administering girls’ first aid and medication in the absence of the school nurse.
- Hospitality and catering, including replenishing refreshment materials such as tea, coffees, biscuits for in‑school events.
- Receiving and distributing mail.
- Administration duties
- Maintaining school calendars and bulletins in conjunction with the PA to the Head.
- Reviewing and reallocating centralised emails.
- Completing morning and afternoon registers one day per week.
- Sending out School Posts.
- Maintaining school lunch records, issuing tickets and ordering packed lunches.
- Creating and maintaining pupils’ files, including filing of correspondence.
- School bus and transport administration, including booking of buses for school trips and events.
- Maintaining bus, after‑school care, holiday club and homework club registers.
- Proofreading Pupil Reports, making necessary amendments online and mailing reports to parents.
- Supporting the PA to the Head in undertaking a variety of administrative duties relating to PA and Admissions.

The successful applicant will have a positive disposition, be a team player who is adaptable, hands‑on and flexible, can pay close attention to detail and can quickly pivot between tasks.
Package Description
The Receptionist/Administrator is a full‑time permanent role (Monday - Friday), working 37.5 hours per week, 9.00am – 5.30pm with an hour unpaid lunch break.

The successful candidate will be automatically enrolled into the school’s support staff pension scheme, but will have the right to opt out.
Staff with dependents attending the school will be eligible for a 30% remission on school fees (or pro‑rata for part time staff).
