St Margaret’s Hospice Care has a fantastic opportunity for a Shop Manager to join our team in Somerton. You will join us on a permanent basis and will receive a salary of £20,685.60 per annum. This is a 30‑hour per week, part‑time role worked across two days. Flexibility is essential, as you will be expected to work additional hours from time to time to support shop cover, particularly during holidays, sickness, or busy periods.
By joining us, you will quickly become part of a great Retail Team that consists of over 700 dedicated individuals and volunteers. The team’s commitment, skills, passion, and energy combine to deliver significant income, enabling our clinical colleagues to deliver their services to nearly 5,000 people across Somerset.
What can you expect to be doing?
- Be responsible for the day‑to‑day running of a busy and well‑established store
- Lead, develop, and inspire a team of staff and volunteers
- Work as part of a team to drive sales and maximise profit to support our vital hospice services
- Create a positive shopping experience for our broad and loyal customer base
- Maintain and enhance the store’s performance, identity, and reputation within the local community
- Support the Area Manager with recruitment, training, and development of the team
This is a physically demanding role in a busy retail environment and will include lifting donated goods.
