St Margaret Ward Catholic Academy is seeking an outstanding teacher of Music to support and further develop the department including Voicebox choir, jazz orchestra and Key Stage 3 and 4 ensembles. The role involves teaching music across Key Stages, contributing to the strategic development of the department, and representing the school as a lead in the Music Partnership network.
Responsibilities
- Deliver music instruction to pupils at Key Stage 3 and 4
- Lead the Voicebox choir, jazz orchestra and other ensembles
- Participate in strategic planning and development of the department
- Possibly offer Music at A Level (advantage but not essential)
- For full-time positions: support teaching a second subject, ideally Religious Education or humanities
Qualifications
- Teaching experience or ECT support available
- Capability to offer Music at A Level is advantageous
- Ability to teach a second subject for full-time roles
- Adhering to safeguarding and welfare commitments; required to undergo Disclosure and Barring Service checks and an online/social media check in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2023.
