Role Overview: The successful candidate will work closely with the SENDCo and class teacher to provide tailored support, ensuring the pupil can access learning and make progress in line with their EHCP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised 1:1 support for a pupil with complex needs

Job Purpose: To provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with high needs and an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), enabling them to access learning, develop independence, and make progress in line with their individual targets. The role involves working closely with the SENDCo and class teacher to deliver targeted interventions and personalised support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consistent, tailored 1:1 support for a pupil with complex needs
  • Implement strategies outlined in the EHCP to support learning and development
  • Promote independence, confidence and self-esteem
  • Support the pupil’s social, emotional and behavioural needs
  • Assist with transitions throughout the school day

Teaching and Learning:

  • Work with the class teacher to adapt and deliver learning activities
